How holistic
therapy can
support pupil
wellbeing – and
relieve classroom
pressures
With 95% of UK school staff reporting increased anxiety among pupils
this year (Premier League Primary Stars, 2024), teachers are under
growing pressure to support mental health on top of academic goals.
But what if specialist external support could ease that burden?
Quester Therapies, partners with families to help children
struggling with emotional and behavioural regulation –
including focus, sensory overload, low confidence, and
neurodiversity-related challenges.
“Our work complements what happens in the classroom,”
explains founder AnneMarie Smellie. “We address the
neurological and physiological roots of learning difficulties,
helping children become more emotionally regulated and
ready to learn.”
Quester’s holistic methods include neuro-developmental
movement, auditory retraining, nutrition, emotional
therapies, and the newly launched Blueprint Kinesiology –
a process that identifies genetic factors contributing to
emotional and behavioural imbalances. This is all tailored
to each child’s individual needs. They also offer remote
assessments and updates to involve schools in the process.
Teachers and SENCOs are encouraged to refer families or
request information on how Quester Therapies can support
pupils’ readiness to learn and overall wellbeing.
Although, Berkshire-based, certain therapies are
available remotely - with a brand new app ‘Addressing
Neurodiversity’ (available on Google Play and Apple),
which addresses retained primitive reflexes - at the core of
many neurodiverse symptoms. Providing accessible support
for parents and teachers across the UK.
